A birch plywood cube on four short square feet. The front is one hatch hinged along the bottom edge; it drops open to a single inner shelf and closes flush, with a round finger hole to pull it.
A hatch is quicker to live with than a drawer for books and chargers, and slower for small things that roll to the back. If you want a drawer, look at the Lino Top Bedside Table.

Care
Wipe with a damp, well-wrung cloth and dry straight away. Use a coaster under glasses: lacquered birch resists a quick spill, not a ring left overnight. Keep it out of hours of direct sun, which yellows birch over time. More in Care & Materials.
