Wall Ledge
A shallow birch plywood box that hangs on the wall beside the bed, with one drawer and a finger notch instead of a handle. It leaves the floor clear, which is the point in a narrow room or beside a bed pushed against the wall.
It is the lightest piece in the range at about 4 kg, but it is only as strong as the wall behind it. It hangs on a hidden cleat that needs fixing into studs or solid masonry with fixings suited to your wall; they are not included, because the right ones depend on the wall. If you rent and cannot drill, choose a floor-standing table.

Care
Wipe with a damp, well-wrung cloth and dry straight away. Use a coaster under glasses: lacquered birch resists a quick spill, not a ring left overnight. Keep it out of hours of direct sun, which yellows birch over time. More in Care & Materials.
